The End of the Road(trip)...
Wow. I can't believe it's already June 25. My #cookbookroadtrip is nearly over, and tonight is the last of the 8 dinner parties, in Seattle, WA. I'm thrilled to be co-hosting the party with my dear friend, stylist Jenn Elliott Blake, at the home of her friend, calligrapher Sally Balt. So thrilled to celebrate the end of this crazy adventure with old and new friends tonight.
It has been such an incredible privilege getting to travel around the country, sitting around so many tables meeting so many amazing people. I have felt welcomed with open arms in every single city, and it's been a blast getting to cook recipes from The Yellow Table, and share my vision for the cookbook. And it's been so cool to see how people are really connecting with both the message of authentic community around the table, as well as the idea of pursuing a dream.
The support for this project has been INCREDIBLE: after just 22 days, we've raised over $30,000 towards the first-printing of this book – we're 60% of the way to meeting our Kickstarter goal! WOO HOO!! I'm amazed and humbled by all of your support. Please help me to continue to spread the word...we've got just 20 more days to raise the remaining $20,000. I believe in miracles and I believe we can do this! (And if you haven't ordered your book yet, you can do it here.)
I thought I was going to be able to share with you the post about the Nashville Peter Nappi dinner today (it's nearly done!), but I've got to jump in the kitchen to start cooking. So stay tuned for beautiful photos and stories tomorrow...
