A Quick Hello from Nashville!
Hi friends! Forgive my lack of a Monday Musings post this week. There's so much going on that I haven't had time to muse about much of anything. Ha!
I'm in Nashville for the week – we've got a wedding this weekend (and several days of festivities preceding it), but I came down a bit early to throw a dinner party tonight for some dear friends of mine. These friends love Italy as much (or quite possibly even more!) than me, so I'm cooking them an Italian meal, inspired by my time in Sicily. Stay tuned on Instagram for pictures!
At this very moment, I'm sitting in my parents' beautiful, light-filled kitchen (pictured above), catching up on emails and getting ready to bake a citrus olive oil cake for tonight. This kitchen is really my happy place. I could sit here, sipping coffee and writing, for hours and hours, happy as a clam. Isn't it so pretty?! But as I'm typing away, I keep thinking to myself: How is it so quiet?! Besides the sounds of the birds chirping, there is literally NO noise. For a city girl like me, used to nonstop honking and trucks rumbling by and people yelling on the street, the silence seems a bit jarring. I can actually hear myself think! But truly, I'm trying to soak in every minute in this peaceful place.
Anyway, just wanted to check in and say hello (!) and assure you that I'll be back with a real post tomorrow! Stay tuned for a new sweet pea ravioli recipe – which is going to be featured today on Savuer.com as part of my monthly dinner party column – and simple spring dinner party menu!
Have a wonderful day, and talk soon!
xo, Anna
P.S. If you missed my newsletter last Friday, the winner of the Bowl + Spoon giveaway was Millie, from Add a Little Bit blog. Congrats, Millie! And thanks to all of you who participated!
