March is an amazing month. Winter's ending, Spring is in sight, and bathing suit season is just around the corner. In our household, it's also my *gulp* birthday and the month that we got engaged.

This year, however, March is particularly important. The treatment for B's Lyme disease to date has not been very successful. It's a disease filled with fatigue and aches. If by the beginning of April, we don't have improvement, he'll need to get a line inserted from arm to heart to infuse daily intravenous antibiotics. Something we're really hoping to avoid.

In this vein (poor pun!), B and I are declaring March to be a month of wellness. We're calling it (drum roll please) #marchwellness and we'd really love for you all to join us. We're eating delicious healthy foods, committing to exercise, and really cutting back on inflammatory foods like sugar, alcohol, gluten, dairy, and processed foods. Don't worry, we'll still have plenty to eat! It's our experiment in just how healing food can be.

Starting tomorrow, I'll be providing a game plan on how to get started, and over the next month I'll share recipes, answer your nutrition questions, and interview experts. I believe there's great power in numbers. If you're on board, tweet this with #marchwellness and please send me your comments and stories as we go!
